I just perused Experiential Learning‘s website looking at the internships and co-ops available for Economics/ Finance majors and there are many! If anyone is looking for experience, this is a great resource to have.
If you don’t have a profile with Exp. Learning, you can create one here.
Keep in mind that many of the internships are unpaid internships. It is obviously better to be in a compensated position, but the experience may prove to be invaluable in and of itself. Plus, some will offer to compensate the gas and toll money that is spent driving to work.
If you have the opportunity to get connected with your Experiential Learning advisor (for economics, I believe it is Sandra Macaulay) I would highly recommend it. They don’t know you exist unless you go and talk to them. Let them know you’re interested in finding an internship; their job is to hook you up. Be sure to bring your résumé with you when you go.
